The Mummies!

                                                                        The Mummies!

This happened many years ago when I was maybe 7 or so. Our mother was really good about finding ways to scare us as kids. Even to this day I still think it was wrong and maybe she went to far at times with her tactics. Any way though this is a story that happened to me and my sister Tabatha. We lived in a apartment and my mother's boyfriends family lived up the road. It was in October but not yet Halloween. Of course like I said she was all ways trying to scare us or make us believe there are monsters and such. Now I know a lot of people have a little fun every once and awhile when it comes to scaring someone and I don't think anything is wrong with that. Anyway it was really late at night and she had us standing outside on the side walk of our apartment. She started screaming "O God There Are Monsters Coming". Tabby and I of course started crying as we looked over and saw them coming at us. We ran in the house and we were trying to hide and I mean we are screaming and crying like you wouldn't believe. They entered the house and I remember there was two of them and they had really out done them selves on the costumes.

She let this go on for what seemed like forever as we are clinging and screaming our eyes out. She was of course just standing there laughing. I know this didn't turn out to be a en joyful story like I planned it to be. As I sat here starting to right it, it really hit me how scared I was at the time, and how hurt I am at this age to think that our own mother would do something to that magnitude just to scare us. I have jumped out of a room and said boo to my girls once and the look of horror on their face made me upset and I cried because I know the feeling I being so afraid.

I do love ghost stories and everything Halloween and stuff don't get me wrong. Maybe I shouldn't of wrote about this one since it wasn't one that I enjoyed but I think I wrote it because it is one time that I was truly horrified. I have had many experiences of being afraid or horrified other than this. Many more from my mother of course but those were as I got older. When I think I could handle it better. I will defiantly add more stories and encounters I have had. I will all so make note at the top like I did this one, weather it was a prank or real. Fact or Fiction I guess you could say.

So here is my question to you out there reading this. What is one time that you remember being extremely scared at the expense of someone else? One that your wasn't like haha funny afterward.

Course I would love to hear of any good stories that you may have as well.

Kimberly.

Eerie Eyeball Weath

This is a pretty neat Halloween craft idea to give a try. May have to get the kids involved in this crafty piece this Halloween season. My kids love to do all kinds of crafts but I must say their favorites and mine are Holiday crafts.

Here are the instruction that was listed for this item, which can all so be seen at the link provided above.

To create this eerie embellishment, you'll need about eight dozen glow-in-the-dark rubber eyeballs and a 12 inch foam wreath. Wrap the form in black crepe streamers and secure with straight pins. Poke a hole in the back of one eyeball with the sharp end of a flat headed pin; then insert the pin's flat end into the hole. Using a thimble to protect your finger, press the pin halfway in. Push the sharp end of the pin into the form. Repeat until the wreath is full and hang as desired.

Seem to be a fairly cheap and easy but yet fun Halloween project for anyone to try.

Cheddar Witch's Fingers

These defiantly look interesting and creepy all at the same time.  I have provided the link below for the recipe of these ghastly but tasty fingers.

Spooky spider eggs.

Thought this was a neat idea for a spooky dish for any Halloween get together.

Spooky spider eggs

If deviling your eggs isn't enough this Halloween, spider them too. Joanie Pimentel in Sunset's information technology department came up with this styling idea for a staff party last Halloween. She cuts pitted black olives in half lengthwise and nestles one half on top of an egg for the body, and then cuts the other half crosswise into thin slices to form the creepy legs.
